Dr. Yoel Hurikan (Legal Name: Yoel Hill) is a Hungarian-American Multimedia Specialist stationed in Brisbane, Australia. He recently received his PhD in animation at the Griffith Film school in Brisbane,where his research strove to reinvigorate the practice of oral tradition through animation. This culminated in The Anishaman Presents Gilgamesh: a live one-man rap retelling of Gilgamesh, wherein the storyteller conjures animation on a Fog Display and Rear Projection Screen and interacts with their audience via mobile phone surveys (Runtime: 1 hr 30 min).

Consequently, Yoel has an intimate knowledge of the animation pipeline from start to finish. He is a one-man army with skills in writing, concept design, storyboards, and animation (AfterEffects and Maya). He's also trilingual able to hold a conversation in English, Hungarian, and Spanish.
